The Engineer I, Software is an entry-level professional who participates in creating and extending Omnicell products. This person is a software developer who can apply best practices to produce quality applications. This person applies their practical and theoretical knowledge from Computer Science or a related field to maintain our OmniCenter Platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, improve existing functionalities, and ensure the reliability of our software solutions.
 

Responsibilities: 

Work as part of a team to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software

Participate in discussions and estimations required for product release planning

Collaborate with a team of software engineers in all phases of software development

Assist with code reviews for fellow team members, as required

Create unit tests to help ensure code quality throughout the application’s life cycle

Understand how Omnicell solutions meet our customers' needs

Work with Technical support teams to troubleshoot and resolve 4th level escalations in a timely and professional manner.
 

Required Knowledge and Skills

Basic understanding of software development principles (OOAD, OOP)

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Good interpersonal communication skills

Basic Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or other Science/Engineering field
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

Candidates with the ability and willingness to learn FoxPro
Entry level experience in the following:

C# and the .NET Framework/.NET Core

JavaScript Frameworks (Angular, React, jQuery)

SQL Server and T-SQL

Microservices

Candidates with the ability and willingness to learn FoxPro

Healthcare Industry Experience 

Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle management
