 Eligibility Criteria: Army Dental Corps SSC Notification 2025

• Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen.

• Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on 31 December 2025.

• Educational Qualification:

  • BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) or MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) from a DCI-recognized college/university (for the batch/year).

  • Registered as Dental Practitioner (Permanent/Provisional) with State Dental Council.

  • Minimum 55% marks in final year BDS (aggregate) OR possess MDS Degree.

  • Completion of one-year compulsory rotatory internship by 30 June 2025.

  • Appeared in National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET MDS 2025) held on 19 April 2025 by NBE, New Delhi.

  • Valid Dental Registration certificate up to at least 31 December 2025.

 Selection Process: Indian Army Dental Corps SSC 2025

• Shortlisting: Candidates will be called for interview based on NEET (MDS)-2025 score. Ratio is 1:10 — ten candidates per advertised vacancy.

• Interview: Shortlisted applicants will attend an interview at New Delhi before a Selection Board. Merit is decided only by interview performance.

• Medical Examination: Interview-qualified candidates undergo a special medical board for fitness as per Armed Forces rules.

• Final Selection: Commission granted if candidates pass all stages and are declared fit.

 Medical & Physical Standards: Army Dental SSC 2025

• Height Requirement: Minimum 157cm (males); 152cm (females). Relaxed for Hill/Northeast states.

• Good overall health, free from disability/interference.

• Military tattoo and other physical norms as per Army rules (see here).

• Pregnancy during selection renders female candidate temporarily unfit.

 Pay Scale and Allowances: Army Dental Corps SSC Officers

• Rank: Upon entry, commissioned at Captain.

• Pay Matrix: Level 10B – ₹61,300 to ₹1,20,900 (7th Pay Commission).

• Military Service Pay: ₹15,500/month.

• Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA): 20% of Basic Pay.

• Other Allowances: HRA (city-based), Dearness Allowance, Field Area, High Altitude, Siachen, Dress Allowance (₹20,000/year), Transport Allowance, PG Allowance (₹2,250/month for MDS/specialists), Children’s Education Allowance, Free medical for family, insurance coverage, rations, club and sports facilities.

• Leave: 60 days annual, 20 days casual, LTC, travel concessions.

 Terms of Service, Tenure & Promotions

• SSC Tenure: 5 years, extendable up to total 14 years (5+5+4), subject to eligibility and vacancies.

• Probation: 12 months after Commissioning.

• Promotion: Captain on entry; Major after 4 years 6 months; Lt Col after 11 years 6 months.

• Permanent Commission: After 2 years SSC service and subject to age, BDS ≤30 years, MDS ≤35 years as on 31 Dec of application year.

• Training: At AMC Centre & College, Lucknow.
